The Firestorm Network

Firestorm Networks utilizes three Tier-1 IP transit carriers to bring the best of breed IP services to our clients.

The nLayer Communications Global IP Network was designed from the ground up to provide a robust, legacy-free, highly scalable network with unmatched performance.

All of our core routing POPs are connected via multiple diversely routed OC-192 (10 Gbps) circuits, provisioned over a highly scalable Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) infrastructure. Our MPLS-enabled core provides advanced traffic-engineering functionality, rapid fault restoration, and multi-service transport capabilities.

The Level 3 Communications® Network today operates as one of the largest IP transit networks in North America and Europe.

The Level 3® Network was designed to maximize coverage, performance, flexibility and Green Bandwidth. We offer more long-haul and metro route options than other providers. In addition to our intercity route miles, we give customers access to approximately 27,000 metropolitan route miles.

Our high-capacity, nationwide backbone was recently overbuilt with new DWDM, IP and private-line switching layers. Level 3 technology deployments have enabled new, market-leading services like 10 GigE LAN PHY and 40 Gbps Wavelength services.

AboveNet, Inc. provides high bandwidth connectivity solutions for business and carriers. Its private optical network delivers key network and IP services in and among top U.S. and European markets. AboveNet's network is widely used in demanding markets such as financial services, media, health care, retail and government.

AboveNetís vision is to be the premier provider of high bandwidth connectivity solutions for customers who desire a private, flexible and scalable transport infrastructure. Our goal is to continue to monetize our superior fiber assets by providing large bandwidth customers with customized solutions that are superior to the tariffed offering of our competitors.
